Mark Smithers has been in touch to let us know about Anna Francolini's recent award.

He writes:

"The award was presented yesterday by the Theatre Managers' Association for Best Actress In A Regional Production. The production in question, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, began life at the Derngate Theatre, Northampton (which stages a Sondheim Gala next year!) and transferred in August to the Edinburgh Festival. Rather sadly, illness prevented me from seeing it, which was a pity as I have seen many of Anna's shows during the last 13 years! "
